Job summary

Energy Transfer is seeking a skilled technician to apply corrosion knowledge for maintenance, repair, and predictive tasks across gas and liquid facilities and pipelines. This role emphasizes cathodic protection, regulatory compliance, and safe operating practices.

You will implement coatings, perform surveys, document findings, and maintain critical systems. Strong preference for individuals with NACE certifications and welding-inspection training; a high school diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Must maintain valid driver’s license in state of residency.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite products.
• Ability to train other technicians and/or sign off on qualifications.
• Experience level commensurate with job level (0–2, 2–4, or 4+ years depending on level).

Responsibilities

• Design, install, operate, inspect and maintain cathodic protection systems within an assigned segment of pipeline or facilities.
• Perform pipe-to-soil potential surveys, casing-to-soil readings, rectifier and bond readings, and document results.
• Evaluate coating condition and perform remaining strength calculations per procedures.
• Read pipeline maps, as-builts and PLDs; ensure safe, compliant operations.
• Participate in PHMSA/state regulatory audits and safety programs.
