Job summary

Ascension is seeking staff for the Associate Travel Program in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role involves travel to multiple Ascension acute care hospitals as needed, with options for local and national travel and a 40-hour workweek across multiple shifts.

You will assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures, review medical histories, prepare testing sites, interpret results, monitor patients, and ensure lab and equipment readiness.

Qualifications

• Licensure/certification requirements must be current and valid.
• CCI credentials (RVIS, Cardiographic Tech, ARRT Radiography, ARDMS Cardiac Sonographer) are highly preferred.
• Advanced Life Support certification is a plus.
• Education: HS diploma or higher with related experience or degree.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and treatment procedures, reviewing medical histories and preparing testing sites.
• Interpret test results, correct recording errors, and monitor patients for abnormal findings before, during, and after procedures.
• Ensure the lab and equipment are clean, orderly, and functional, including reporting malfunctions and performing lock/tag-out procedures.

Education

High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate’s degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required

BLS Provider within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date

Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credentialed from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Cardiac Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date

Advanced Life Support preferred

Approved Local Exception preferred

How you’ll make an impact in this role

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

• One or more of the following required:

• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

• Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
