Job summary

Piedmont Columbus Midtown is seeking a Cath Lab Tech, PRN, to assist physicians in invasive cardiac procedures and provide direct/indirect cardiovascular care.

Requirements include RCIS or nursing/respiratory/paramedic/imaging/exercise physiology credentials, Georgia licensure, BCLS and ACLS. PRN/part-time position with Oncology? (if applicable) and on-site at Columbus Midtown.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RCIS program.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing, respiratory, paramedic, imaging, or exercise physiology program.

• Assist the physician in invasive cardiac procedures and provide direct/indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.

Responsibilities

Cath Lab Tech, PRN, Piedmont Columbus Midtown

Assists the physician in the performance of invasive cardiac procedures. Has thorough knowledge of all Cath Lab Equipment and maintenance of it and administers direct/indirect care to patients undergoing invasive cardiac procedures. Able to provide direct and indirect cardiovascular clinical care during established procedures.

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited a RCIS program Required or
• Graduate of an accredited program in nursing, respiratory, paramedic, imaging, or exercise physiology. Required

Work Experience

• 1 year Healthcare Imaging, Exercise Physiology, Paramedic, Respiratory, or RN experience Required or
• No experience required if a graduate of an RCIS program Required

Licenses and Certifications

• Based on healthcare experience (see above), applicable license. Upon Hire Required and
• RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist If a graduate of RCIS program RCIS within 2 Years Required or
• RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure Upon Hire Required or
• RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist Upon Hire Required
• BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required and
• ACLS Upon Hire Required
