Job summary

Methodist Mansfield Medical Center is seeking a Cath Lab Technician to support invasive cardiovascular procedures in a busy lab. You will assist physicians, monitor rhythm and EKGs, and operate imaging equipment with strict sterile technique.

Requirements include an accredited science/healthcare degree, AHA ACLS, and RCIS or ARRT/TX RT(R) qualifications. Sign-on bonus is available. The role emphasizes teaching, patient safety, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare.
• AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is required or preferred.
• RCIS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) credentials are accepted in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Monitors patient status during procedures and interprets basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs.
• Operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists as scrub tech and circulator during procedures.
• Transports patients to and from the department; maintains sterile technique.
