The RN collaborates with providers, plans and documents care, participates in performance improvement, and maintains professional standards while delivering compassionate care in an onsite, part-time role at Wayne UNC Health Care.

Qualifications

• Graduate RN from an accredited nursing program.
• Current North Carolina RN licensure required.
• BLS and/or department-specific life support certifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, provide, supervise and document professional nursing care.
• Individualizes the plan of care using professional judgment and updates progress.
• Demonstrates competence in care of patients with complex problems and educates patients/families.
• Collaborates and communicates with providers, interdisciplinary teammates, patients and families.
• Monitors activities of teammates and delegates appropriately; provides training and guidance.
• May act as team leader or charge nurse as assigned.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and supports safety and quality initiatives.
• Promotes a professional demeanor and high standards of customer service.
