UNC Health Johnston is seeking an experienced Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization lab. This role requires ANCC nursing certification and NC RN licensure, with 18 months of professional nursing experience preferred in a tertiary care setting.

The Surgical Services team emphasizes precision, collaboration, and delivering exceptional patient care in a high-tech environment. This is a full-time, onsite position with day shifts in Smithfield, NC.

Qualifications

• ANCC Magnet approved nursing certification (or eligible) within probationary period.
• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.

Responsibilities

• Promotes an environment of diversity, open communication, teamwork and exceptional service.
• Coordinates care with interdisciplinary team members for the cardiac cath lab.
• Provides education and professional development support to staff and participates in competency initiatives.
• Manages staffing and budget considerations to meet patient care needs on shift.
• Leads quality and performance improvement initiatives in patient care.
• Acts as a resource and consultant for staff in the Surgical Services department.
