Job summary

AdventHealth Calhoun is hiring an experienced Registered Nurse to assess patients, develop care plans, and deliver high-quality perioperative and invasive cardiology support. You will perform IVs, wound care, medication administration, and charting while coordinating with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, compassionate care aligned with patient preferences.

Responsibilities include education, delegation to staff, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• RN with active license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• RCIS preferred but not required.
• 1+ year nursing experience in specialty area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s physical, psychosocial, cultural, and spiritual needs through observation, interview, and review of medical records.
• Develops and implements patient care plans with the interdisciplinary team and monitors outcomes.
• Performs IVs, wound care, med administration, catheterization, and specimen collection.
• Advocates for patient health, safety, and rights.
• Educates patients/families and assesses learning needs.
• Delivers relationship-based care respecting patient values and preferences.
• Delegates tasks to non-RN staff per policy.
• Maintains charts and documents status, interventions, and outcomes accurately.
• Manages resources and patient flow by matching nursing skills to needs.
• Follows standards of care, hospital policies, and regulatory guidelines.
