Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Heart and Vascular Prep/Recovery, Cath Lab in Brick, NJ. The role focuses on direct patient care and collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to achieve outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 6+ months of nursing experience (2+ years preferred), plus Cath Lab and telemetry experience. BSN preferred or within 3 years of hire; NJ RN license and BLS required; ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred or willing to obtain within 3 years of hire.
• 6+ months of relevant nursing experience; 2+ years desired.
• Telemetry experience highly desired.
• 1 year of Cath Lab experience highly desired.
• Critical Care experience highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease-specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions.
• Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and healthcare team.
• Implement age and disease-specific care in an organized manner.
• Perform continuous Point-of-Care electronic documentation.
• Administer medications utilizing advancements in bar-scanning technology.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes.
