Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our interdisciplinary team, delivering evidence-based care and coordinating with physicians, peers, and support services to ensure safe, high-quality patient outcomes. NJ RN license is required, BLS/CPR; ACLS preferred.

Six months minimum nursing experience or Nurse Residency program involvement enhances eligibility. On-call duties are required; BSN preferred or pursued within 3 years.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS certification is strongly preferred.
• Must have six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• 2 or more years of nursing experience highly desired.
• Telemetry experience highly desired.
• 1 year of Cath Lab experience highly desired.
• Critical Care experience highly desired.
• BSN is preferred/and or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.
• National certification preferred.
• The ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs, a strong sense of accountability for improving the lives of our patients and their caregivers, an exceptional focus on teamwork, dedication to ongoing education and the ability and passion to deliver the highest quality of care based on a strong sense of patient focus are all required.
• Ability to take On-Call is Required

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research, policies, and standards of care.
• Provide and ensure safe and excellent delivery of individualized patient care.
• Coordinate patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care.
• Provide ongoing communication with patient/family and health care team.
• Perform continuous documentation of assessments, plan-of-care, interventions and evaluation.
• Provide or coordinate patient/family education as needed.
• Adhere to organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
• Lifts, pushes/pulls and stands per facility safety requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.
