Job summary

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in New Jersey to provide high-quality patient care across the cath lab and endovascular settings. The role requires active NJ RN licensure, BLS/CPR, ACLS, and 1 year of critical care or cath lab experience.

Strong teamwork, adaptability, and a patient-centered approach are essential. On-call availability is required; BSN preferred, with potential for tuition support and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required.
• BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required.
• ACLS certification is required.
• 1 year of Critical Care, Procedural, or Cath Lab experience strongly preferred.
• Cath lab and/or Endovascular experience and/or PACU/Prep/Recovery.
• Critical Care experience preferred.
• Interventional procedure area experience preferred.
• BSN is preferred/and or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire.
• National certification preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs; strong teamwork, ongoing education, and high patient focus; ability to take On-Call is Required.

Responsibilities

• Delivery of nursing practices according to evidence-based research and standards of care to ensure safe, high-quality patient care.
• Ongoing communication with patients, nursing colleagues and health care team regarding patient status and treatment plans.
• Medication administration using bar-scanning and documentation technologies for safe delivery.
• Electronic documentation of patient assessments, plan-of-care, interventions and evaluation.
• Patient and family education to optimize health and disease management.
• Discharge planning for safe transitioning and continuum of care.
• Circulating nurse during endovascular and cardiac cath cases.
• Ordering supplies and ensuring equipment availability for cases.
• Collaborate with leader on project development and improvement initiatives.
• Work with accreditation databases to maintain compliance.
