Job summary

Baptist Health Shelby Hospital in Alabaster, AL seeks a proficient RN with ECMO experience for the Critical Care team. The role focuses on high-acuity patient management in ICU settings, with ECMO circuit monitoring and rapid response to emergencies.

This full-time Days shift requires collaboration with physicians, perfusionists, and nursing leadership to deliver exceptional patient care and support the unit’s educational initiatives.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with licensure in Alabama or eligible to practice under eNLC.
• Experience in critical care settings with high-acuity patients preferred.
• ACLS certification required or as specified for unit area.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients on ECMO within ICU/CCC-ICU settings.
• Monitor ECMO circuit, hemodynamics, and vital signs; respond to alarms and emergencies.
• Collaborate with physicians, perfusionists, and interdisciplinary team to optimize patient care.
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses accurately and timely.
• Administer blood products and medications as ordered and required.
