Job summary

Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, Florida is seeking an Imaging Procedural Nurse (RN) for the Cath Lab on day shift. This full-time role offers 40 hours per week, a $15,000 sign-on bonus for experienced nurses, and comprehensive benefits.

There is potential for overtime and cross-coverage across imaging areas. The RN provides nursing care for interventional patients under cardiology, with stroke alert duties, NIHSS assessments, and possible cross-training.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (AD, Diploma, BSN, or MSN).
• Current licensed RN in the State of Florida.
• Minimum of two years Critical Care/IR/Cath Lab experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS certifications.
• Willingness to cross-train to other imaging areas.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologist and team in assessment, planning, and care of interventional patients.
• Cross-train and float to other Imaging Service areas as needed.
• Recognize stroke signs and call stroke alert; perform NIHSS.
• Prepare patient for Endovascular treatment and monitor during procedures.
• Maintain stroke knowledge with NIHSS training annually.
