Wellington Regional Medical Center is seeking a Per Diem Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to cover planned shifts and overtime as needed. The role emphasizes stroke recognition, NIHSS assessment, and cross-training across imaging services.

Qualifications

• NIHSS training and stroke-related continuing education are required.
• Demonstrates ability to monitor and interpret NIHSS scores.
• Active Florida RN license and current BLS/ACLS certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the cardiologist and allied professionals technically and clinically in interventional care.
• Cross-train and float to other imaging service areas as needed to meet facility needs.
• Recognize stroke signs, call stroke alert, and manage NIHSS procedures.
• Prepare patients for Endovascular treatment and monitor thrombolytic therapy per protocol.
• Maintain currency in stroke knowledge with ongoing NIHSS training annually.
