Job summary

Wellington Regional Medical Center is seeking an experienced RN to join the Interventional Radiology team on a full-time basis. The role includes assisting the cardiologist and allied professionals in procedural care, with cross-training across Imaging Services as needed.

Requirements include an NLN-approved RN program, 1+ year in acute care and 1+ year in Interventional Radiology, Florida RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN-approved RN program; BSN preferred.
• Minimum 1 year FT or 3 years PT experience in acute care nursing.
• Minimum 1 year FT experience in Interventional Radiology.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and/or required specialty training.
• Current Florida nursing license.
• Must pass pre-employment assessments.

Responsibilities

• The Imaging Procedural Nurse is responsible and accountable for all nursing care provided to their patients.
• Assist the cardiologist and other allied professionals in care, technically and clinically.
• Cross train and float to other Imaging Service areas as needed.
• Recognize stroke signs and call a stroke alert; perform NIHSS and thrombolytic therapy when indicated.
• Maintain NIHSS training and at least 8 hours of stroke-related training annually.
