Job summary

Wellington Regional Medical Center in Wellington, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for Interventional Radiology on a full-time basis. The role offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus, 40 hours per week, and a day shift schedule with potential overtime.

Responsibilities include assisting cardiology and imaging teams, stroke alert processes, NIHSS documentation, and Endovascular care, with cross-training to other imaging areas as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program. BSN preferred.
• Minimum of one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care specialty nursing.
• Minimum of one year full time experience in Interventional Radiology Department.
• One to three years supervisory experience preferred.
• Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and/or required specialty training or course completion (current upon hire) as required by specialty.
• Current Florida nursing license.
• Must successfully pass any pre-employment assessment(s).

Responsibilities

• The Imaging Procedural Nurse is responsible for all nursing care provided to their patients.
• Assist the cardiologist and other allied professionals in assessment, planning, executing and evaluating care of Interventional patients.
• Willing to cross train and float to other Imaging Service areas to meet facility needs.
• Recognizes signs of stroke and calls a stroke alert; Verbalizes stroke alert process.
• Performs and documents NIHSS, administration and monitoring of thrombolytic therapy if candidate.
• Prepares patient for Endovascular treatment as indicated.
• Maintains currency in stroke knowledge with NIHSS training annually.
