Job summary

SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital – Madison is seeking a registered nurse to plan, coordinate and implement care for adults in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role emphasizes safe, high-quality perioperative care and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

You will work on the Cath Lab procedure team as circulator, scrub, or monitor, with tasks including pre-procedure prep, patient education, documentation, and collaboration with physicians to ensure patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.
• No experience required.
• BLS HCP and ALS/PALS certifications per state requirements (see location specifics).

Responsibilities

• Performs on Cath Lab procedure team as circulator, scrub, or monitor.
• Preps patient in holding and ensures timely H&P information.
• Analyzes patient assessments and communicates with the physician.
• Performs hemostasis with/without vascular devices.
• Enters charges and verifies accuracy of documentation.
• Educates patients and families about perioperative procedures and tests.
