Job summary

SSM Health is seeking a Regular RN for the Cardiac Cath Lab at St. Mary’s Hospital in St. Louis.

This role plans, coordinates and delivers patient care for adults undergoing cath lab procedures, ensuring safety and adherence to the unit’s standards. As a team member you may serve as circulator, scrub, or monitor; you’ll prep patients, review H&P, document orders, educate families, and communicate with physicians during procedures.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in state of work location (IL/MO/OK/WI) and eligibility for RN license as required by each state.
• Basic Life Support Provider (BLS) - AHA
• Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) - AHA as applicable per state

Responsibilities

• Performs in Cath Lab as circulator, scrub, or monitor.
• Preps patient in holding and reviews history and physical for the procedure.
• Interprets patient data, administers meds as directed, and reports findings to the physician.
• Ensures safe hemostasis with or without vascular devices.
• Educates patients and families about tests and perioperative procedures.

Education

Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
