Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab to provide comprehensive nursing care during cardiac catheterization procedures. The role includes instrument handling, medication administration, hemodynamic monitoring, and ensuring accurate documentation and quality assurance activities.

The ideal candidate holds PA RN licensure (or multi-state licensure via eNLC), BLS/ACLS, and may pursue specialty certification.

Qualifications

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• BLS and ACLS Certification
• Certification in area of specialty (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Participates in care of patients undergoing Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, Electrophysiology, Hybrid OR procedures and surgeries.
• Positions patients and assists physician during procedures with sterile technique.
• Administers and monitors Moderate Sedation, vasoactive medications, and anticoagulants as directed.
• Takes responsibility for documentation for regulatory, billing, imaging storage and archival.
• Maintains supplies and participates in inventory control.
• Cross-trains in various areas and provides nurse-to-nurse handoff to receiving unit.
