Job summary

Allegheny Health Network is seeking a trained registered nurse to perform Cath Lab nursing care during cardiac catheterization and related procedures. The role requires precise instrument handling, accurate medication administration, and vigilant hemodynamic monitoring.

The nurse will operate and maintain Cath Lab equipment, ensure complete documentation, and participate in quality assurance activities to optimize outcomes. Prior Cath Lab experience and active PA RN licensure are preferred.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multistate licensure through eNLC.
• Preference for RCIS Certification within five years.
• BLS and ACLS certification required or active.

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, EP, and Hybrid OR procedures.
• Prepare patients: explain procedures, obtain informed consent, verify allergies and medical history.
• Assist physician/APP, position patients, and prepare/hand off equipment.
• Monitor and administer Moderate Sedation, vasoactive meds, and anticoagulants as directed.
• Maintain sterile field and assist with intraoperative tasks and equipment management.
• Complete documentation for regulatory, billing, and image storage; ensure supplies are adequate.
