Job summary

Houston Physicians Hospital seeks a Full Time Cath Lab Registered Nurse to join our state-of-the-art facility in Houston. You will assist physicians with interventional cardiac procedures, monitor patients, and ensure safe pre-, intra-, and post-procedure care.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a current Texas RN license, and maintain BLS; ACLS required or obtainable. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in our fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Texas RN license.
• Current BLS certification; ACLS certification required or obtainable.
• Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting preferred.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient management.
• Aseptic technique understanding.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac catheterization, electrophysiology studies, and other interventional procedures.
• Monitor patient vitals, sedation levels, and overall condition during procedures.
• Administer medications, IV fluids, and contrast agents as needed.
• Educate patients and families on pre-procedure preparation and post-procedure care.
• Ensure infection control and patient safety protocols.
• Collaborate with physicians, radiology techs, and cardiovascular technologists for seamless care.
• Maintain documentation of patient care and procedural details.
• Respond to emergencies, including cardiac events.
• Ensure equipment is properly maintained and ready for use.
