Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center in Missouri is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Cath Lab to support high‑acuity procedures and provide comprehensive patient care before, during and after interventions.

You will maintain a sterile, safe surgical environment, monitor vital signs and sedation levels, supervise non‑licensed staff within policy, and deliver pre‑ and post‑procedure education and emotional support.

Qualifications

• ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.
• Minimum of one year nursing experience in an ICU or ER setting.
• Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
• Basic computer knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care plans before, during and after the procedure to optimize outcomes.
• Create and maintain a sterile and safe surgical environment.
• Monitor patient vital signs, sedation levels and physical / emotional well-being.
• Provide direct nursing care and supervise non-licensed nursing staff within the RN's scope of practice and in accordance with established policies.
• Provide pre-and post- procedure patient education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance.
