Job summary

Lee's Summit Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to support invasive cardiology procedures in our catheterization labs. You will assist physicians and nursing staff, monitor patients, ensure sterile technique, and participate in on-call rotations with a 30-minute response window.

Qualified candidates will have Radiology Technologist or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology training, BCLS and ACLS certifications, RCIS/RT licensure preferred, and relevant Cath Lab experience or

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
• Two years of current Cath Lab experience may substitute for program completion.
• Current BCLS certification within 30 days and maintained.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of employment.
• RCIS or RT licensure preferred.
• New CVT graduate must attain credential within 1 year of eligibility date.
• One year of Cath Lab experience or equivalent clinical experience.
• On-the-job training may substitute for completed programs for highly experienced candidates.

Responsibilities

• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology procedures in cath labs.
• Demonstrate radiographic imaging principles, patient monitoring, and arrhythmia recognition.
• Maintain sterile technique.
• Collect data for databases, outcomes analysis, and improvement.
• Carry out additional duties to ensure efficient department operation.
• Participate in on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes.
