Job summary

The Cath Lab Radiology Technologist at Tanner assists in caring for adults undergoing cardiac catheterization and radiographic procedures. Responsibilities include operating radiographic equipment and providing scrub assistance to the physician.

This role requires ACLS certification and licensure as Radiologic Technologist and RCIS. The position is dayshift and requires 10A-10P three days a week with call.

Qualifications

• ACLS within one year of hire date.
• Registered by the ARRT, ARCRT, or CCI(RCIS).
• Licensure requirements include Radiologic Technologist and RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation and provision of care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and/or radiographic procedures.
• Operate radiographic equipment and provide technical scrub assistance to the physician during a procedure; may function as a sub-circulator under RN supervision.

Job Description

The Cardiac Cath/Special Procedures Technologist assists in the preparation and provision of care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and/or radiographic procedures. He/she is responsible for the operation of radiographic equipment as well as able to provide technical assistance (scrub) to the physician during a procedure. He/she may function as a sub-circulator under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.

Education

Associate Degree or 2 years of college coursework

Experience

One year of related experience. Requires a working knowledge of standard practices and procedures.
