Job summary

Medlinkhealth Anesthesia Associates in the United States seeks a skilled Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (RCIS) to support cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. You will prepare patients, operate imaging and monitoring equipment, scrub in for interventions, and ensure patient safety throughout catheterization workflows.

The role requires at least 2 years of Cath Lab experience, an active RCIS credential, and a current BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stenting, and other diagnostic or interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Operate and analyze hemodynamic monitoring equipment to track vital signs, hemodynamic waveforms, and cardiac rhythms during procedures.
• Scrub in to assist physicians with catheter/wire manipulation, maintain sterile technique, and handle procedural equipment.
• Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, insert IVs as needed, and monitor post-procedure insertion sites for complications.
• Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot catheterization laboratory equipment while adhering to strict infection control standards.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. In this role, you will prepare patients, operate specialized imaging and monitoring equipment, scrub in for interventional procedures, and ensure optimal patient care and safety throughout catheterization workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procedure Support: Assist cardiologists during cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stenting, and other diagnostic or interventional cardiovascular procedures.
• Hemodynamic Monitoring: Operate and analyze specialized monitoring equipment to track patient vital signs, hemodynamic waveforms, and cardiac rhythms during procedures.
• Sterile Field Management: Scrub in to assist physicians with catheter/wire manipulation, maintain sterile technique, and handle procedural equipment.
• Patient Care & Preparation: Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, insert IVs as needed, and monitor post-procedure insertion sites for complications.
• Equipment & Room Maintenance: Maintain, calibrate, and troubleshoot catheterization laboratory equipment while adhering to strict infection control standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of dedicated Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist experience [Required].
• Credentialing: Active Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) credential [Required].
• Certifications: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
• Core Competencies: Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, proficiency in hemodynamic monitoring, excellent crisis response skills, and high attention to detail in fast-paced clinical environments.
