Job summary

Mayo Foundation for Medical Education and Research is seeking a qualified individual to administer ionizing radiation and provide imaging support in Interventional Radiology. This full-time role requires a high school diploma or GED, along with certifications like ARRT-R and Arizona CRT.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Administers ionizing radiation using imaging modalities to perform radiographic procedures of a highly specialized nature.
• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development of the life span.
• Assesses data reflective of the patient’s status and interprets information relative to the patient’s age‑specific needs.
• Provides imaging support within Interventional Radiology suites, Hybrid operating rooms, and assists in Stealth guidance.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED. Graduate from an accredited radiography program of study.

• One year experience as an interventional radiology or cardiac cath lab technologist preferred.
• Functions as an Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Cath or Electrophysiology Lab Technologist.
• Ability to improvise standard procedures and work independently and in a team environment, making decisions and directing work and patient flow to achieve maximum operational efficiency.
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
• ARRT-R and Arizona CRT required.
• Basic Life Support Certification required upon hire and must be valid for 90 days or greater from start date.
• Maintains Basic Life Support (BLS) Competency.
• ACLS required within 6 months of hire.
• CV, CI, VI, RCIS or RCES required within two years of hire.
• Certification in Cardiac or Vascular Intervention by the ARRT preferred.
