Job summary

IHA is seeking a qualified Radiologic Technologist for the Cath Lab to perform invasive cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, assist in diagnosis, management and treatment of cardiovascular disease, and perform routine radiographic procedures with patient care and physician support.

Requirements include a high school diploma, a two-year Radiology Technology program, California CRT with Fluoroscopy permit, and BLS CPR; ARRT radiography certification preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of a two-year accredited Radiology Technology program.
• One year experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred.
• California CRT certification with Fluoroscopy permit required.
• AHA BLS CPR certification required.
• ARRT Radiography certification preferred.
• Knowledge of radiographic positioning and related physics.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot radiographic equipment.

Reporting to the Lead Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist, Cath Lab, this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of specialized invasive cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that assist in the diagnosis, management and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The incumbent is also responsible for performing routine and specialized radiographic procedures and providing patient care and physician assistance during the performance of those procedures.

Description

Reporting to the Lead Cardiovascular Radiologic Technologist, Cath Lab, this position is responsible for performing a wide variety of specialized invasive cardiovascular diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that assist in the diagnosis, management and treatment of cardiovascular disease. The incumbent is also responsible for performing routine and specialized radiographic procedures and providing patient care and physician assistance during the performance of those procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of a two (2) year accredited program in Radiology Technology is required.
• One (1) year experience as a Radiology Technologist is preferred.
• Valid Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) certification issued by the California Department of Public Health-Radiologic Health Branch (CDPH-RHB) is required with Fluoroscopy permit is required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR card is required.
• Successful completion of basic arrhythmia recognition course within six (6) months of date of hire into position is required.
• American Registry Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification in Radiography is preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic physics, anatomy/physiology, biology, math, Basic Arrhythmia and Advanced Cardiac Arrhythmia is required.
• Knowledge of contrast media, radiation physics, anatomy and radiographic positioning, as well as familiarity with a variety of radiographic and support equipment, including the ability to independently operate and troubleshoot the equipment is required.

Pay Range

$40.38 - $56.54

Rate may be adjusted based on career ladder placement
