Job summary

UAB Medicine's Cardiac Cath Lab in Birmingham is seeking a skilled Cath Lab Tech to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease. The role includes scrub, monitor, and circulator duties in a fast-paced outpatient setting with cutting-edge imaging and interventional procedures.

Candidates must have RCIS/ARRT certification, CPR, ACLS within 6 months, and 2+ years of cath lab experience; a high school diploma is required. UAB St.

Qualifications

• Two years' experience in a cardiac catheterization lab or electrophysiology lab may substitute for licensure/certification/registration.
• Current CPR certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification from the American Heart Association required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the physician in diagnosing and treating cardiac and peripheral vascular disease and arrhythmias.
• Act as scrub assistant, monitor and circulator.
• Operate cath lab equipment and ensure sterile field and infection control.
• Monitor patient vitals and documentation during procedures and assist with mapping systems.
• Perform duties as assigned and maintain safety protocols.
