NYU Langone Health invites applications for a Patient Care Technician-HCC 13 Cath Lab-Evening Shift (37.5 Hours). The role supports nurses in caring for patients undergoing procedures, ensuring safety and compassionate service while maintaining supplies and the work environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma, PCT program experience, CNA background with EKG/Phlebotomy, and BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Graduate of a PCT program with ≥6 months hospital experience.
• CNA graduate with EKG & Phlebotomy coursework and PCT cert eligibility.
• PCT Certification through NHA with ≥6 months hospital experience.
• BLS/CPR certification required upon entry.

Responsabilités

• Assist the nurse in patient care tasks and maintain patient safety.
• Support unit operations, supplies, equipment and environment.
• Participate in data collection for quality and performance improvement.
• Assist with admission, transfer and discharge procedures and patient mobility.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families and health care team.
• Observe patients and report to the registered nurse as needed.
