Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking an RN - Assistant Nurse Manager for the Cath Lab at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL. This onsite role reports to the Nurse Manager and guides daily operations and staff development to deliver quality patient care.

The position requires a nursing license with BLS and specialty certifications as needed (ACLS/PALS/NRP), plus prior charge nurse or leadership experience in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred; RN license required.
• Minimum 1 year staff nurse experience in hospital areas; 3 years in Oncology at MCC.
• Charge Nurse experience required.
• Licenses: Active RN license; BLS; ACLS/PALS/NRP depending on area; ONCC within one year at MCC.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Manager with day-to-day unit operations.
• Coordinate, implement and evaluate unit activities to ensure quality patient care.
• Serve as a coach and mentor to staff; model nursing process and improvement standards.
• Participate in interview/hiring, performance evaluations, scheduling, and competency verification.
