Job summary

UAB Medicine’s Cardiac Holding unit seeks an experienced nurse leader to oversee nursing activities and staffing for the Cardiac Cath Lab in Birmingham. You will collaborate with clinical teams to maintain high patient care standards.

Responsibilities include staff development, regulatory compliance, and budget monitoring, ensuring efficient delivery of care in a fast-paced outpatient setting. A strong leadership track record and Alabama RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• RN license in Alabama required.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Leadership experience in nursing units.

Responsibilities

• Oversee activities, workflow and staffing of the nursing unit.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and unit.
• Conduct hiring, training, directing, development and evaluating staff.
• Identify and resolve issues affecting patient care delivery; implement policies.
• Monitor and manage budget and expenditures to align with guidelines.
