Job summary

Centinela Hospital Medical Center in Inglewood, CA seeks a cardiovascular technologist to assist in the cardiovascular lab under physician supervision. You will scrub, monitor hemodynamics, and help prepare rooms for procedures while ensuring supplies are available. Experience in invasive cardiology is preferred and licensure requirements apply.

Position is full-time with day shifts; benefits and competitive compensation are provided. BCLS and ACLS credentials are required or pursued upon hire.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R and state-required licenses.
• BCLS (AHA) certification required on hire and kept current.
• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Cardiovascular technologist training with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist by scrubbing procedures and monitoring physiologic/hemodynamic data in the cardiovascular lab.
• Prepare procedure room and ensure adequate supplies; participate in invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
• Prepare power injector and contrast, inject and monitor injector rates/quantity during procedures.

Responsibilities

Under the general direction of the physician (Cardiologist/Radiologist), will assist by scrubbing procedures and/ or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Certified to operate fluoro/pan with Fluoro CA license addendum. Ensures procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure. Monitors par level of all instruments and supplies. Participates in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff. Assists in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures. Prepares power injector and contrast medium. Injects contrast during procedures and monitors injector rates/ quantity of contrast administered during all procedures.

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• ARRT-R and licenses as required by State.


• Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab and/or Interventional Radiology; preferred.


• Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.


• BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.


• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); required within 30 days of hire.


• Proficient computer skills.

Benefits may vary based on collective bargaining agreement requirements and/or the employment status, i.e. full-time or part-time. The current compensation range for this role is $40.65-$54.88. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
