Job summary

Methodist Southwest Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician supervision. The role emphasizes monitoring, imaging, scrub assistance, and patient transport in the cath lab.

You will assist with setup, sterile technique, and post-procedure care while maintaining equipment and inventory. AHA ACLS and RCIS/ARRT credentials are required or pursued upon hire.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree with science emphasis or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification is preferred.
• RCIS certification within eighteen (18) months of date of hire; ARRT and TX RT(R) acceptable in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assists physician as a monitor tech during cath lab procedures by interpreting basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs, and operating physiologic recorder.
• Assists physician with most procedures as a scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assists with transport of patient to and from department and helps maintain cath lab inventory.
• Ensures sterile technique and prepares the lab for procedures.
