Job summary

Georgetown University Hospital is seeking a cardiovascular invasive lab technologist to work in a multidisciplinary Cath Lab. You will assist with invasive procedures including Diagnostic Cardiac catheterization, ICD and Pacemaker procedures, Electrophysiology and Ablation, Peripheral interventions, and Bronchoscopy.

You will perform IV starts, EKG monitoring, hemodynamic data interpretation, and ensure quality control of X-ray equipment.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree preferred
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• EKG/hemodynamic monitoring required

Responsibilities

• Starts IVs and monitors EKG, preps and drapes patients.
• Assists with invasive procedures (Diagnostic Cardiac catheterization, ICD and Pacemaker, Electrophysiology and Ablation, Peripheral, Bronchoscopy, Bone Marrow Harvest).
• Performs quality control of X-ray equipment before procedures and assists physician during procedures.
• Removes arterial/venous sheaths and applies manual pressure.
• Records and interprets hemodynamic data using Mac Lab monitoring system.
• Assists with equipment setup, room prep and post-procedure cleanup.
• Participates in orientation and training for staff in the department.
• Assists with inventory management and stocking of Cath Lab supplies.
