Job summary

UP Health System Marquette is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician for the Cath Lab to join a 32-hour-per-week schedule within a MAST union environment. The role includes patient education, monitoring of vital signs and assisting cardiology procedures in a fast-paced setting.

Qualified candidates will have an accredited Allied Health Sciences background, BLS-HCP, ACLS within one year, and licensure/certification within 90 days of hire, with 1 year related experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences or equivalent.
• BLS-HCP certification.
• Licensure or Certification within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist within 18 months for non-radiologic tech or LPN.
• 1 year related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient history and physician orders; educate patient on procedures and equipment.
• Monitor heart rhythms, blood pressure and oxygen levels; report changes.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assist cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Administer medications under supervision of attending physicians.
