Job summary

UP Health System Marquette is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician to join the Cath Lab team. This .8 FTE union position offers varied shifts and a patient‑centered environment focused on delivering high‑quality care.

You will assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, monitor vital signs, educate patients, manage supplies, and support a coordinated team approach. A $7,500 sign‑on is available for eligible external candidates.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health program (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Paramedicine, LPN or equivalent).
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP).
• Licensure or Certification in degree field within 90 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist within 18 months of hire for non-radiologic tech/LPN.
• 1 year related experience (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders; educates patient about procedures and equipment to ensure understanding.
• Monitors heart rhythms, blood pressure, and oxygen levels; reports changes promptly.
• Maintains adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assists cardiologist in diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Administers medications to patients under supervision of attending physicians.
