Job summary

Lifepoint Health® is seeking a Cardiovascular Technician for their UP Health System Marquette facility. This role is critical for assisting cardiologists in various diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring patient care, and monitoring heart activity. Ideal candidates will have an accredited health sciences background and be BLS-HCP certified.

Qualifications

UP Health System Marquette – Cardiovascular Technician (Cardiac Imaging)

Position: 8 FTE, Varied Shift. Union position. Sign‑on bonus up to $7,500 for external candidates (based on eligibility).

About the Role

A Cardiovascular Technician who excels in this role:

• Reviews patient history and physician's orders. Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure understanding and cooperation. Enters new data as needed.
• Monitors heart rhythms, blood pressure, and oxygen levels. Reports any changes to the appropriate person.
• Maintains an adequate inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Assists cardiologist in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures.
• Administers medications to patients under the supervision of attending physicians.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program in Allied Health Sciences (e.g., Cardiovascular Technology, Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Exercise Science, Paramedicine, Licensed Practical Nurse or equivalent academic program and experience).
• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS‑HCP).
• Licensure or certification in degree field within 90 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 1 year of hire/transfer.
• Non‑Radiologic Technology and Licensed Practical Nursing requires Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist within 18 months of hire.
• 1 year related experience (preferred).
