Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center in Richardson, TX seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures under the supervision of a supervisor and physician. The role requires RCIS or ARRT with TX RT(R) in lieu, and current ACLS certification.

The position supports teaching, patient monitoring, scrub and circulator duties, and cath lab operations. Responsibilities include equipment operation, patient safety, and inventory control, in a Magnet-designated hospital

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare field.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
• RCIS certification within six months of date of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS.

Responsibilities

• Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Interprets basic and advanced dysrhythmia and EKGs; operates physiologic recorder during procedures.
• Assists physician as scrub tech and operates imaging equipment as directed.
• Monitors patient status as circulator and hands supplies to the scrub tech.
• Transports patient to and from the department and prepares lab for procedures.
• Maintains sterile technique and inventories supplies for cath lab.
