Job summary

Methodist Dallas Medical Center seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to support invasive procedures in the cath lab under physician supervision. Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, monitoring EKGs, and assisting as scrub tech and circulator.

Requires formal education in science, ACLS, and licensure or certification as RCIS/ARRT/TX RT(R). The role also covers patient transport, lab preparation, inventory control, and post-procedure care within a Magnet-designated teaching hospital

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
Current American Heart Association Advanced Cardio Life Support certification (ACLS).
RCIS certification required within six months of hire.
ARRT and TX RT(R) required in lieu of RCIS when applicable.

Responsibilities

Assists in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
Assists physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures, interpreting basic and advanced EKGs and operating physiologic recorder.
Assists physician with procedures as scrub tech and operates imaging equipment under physician direction.
Assists with diagnostic procedures as circulator by monitoring patient status and handing supplies.
Transports patients to and from department and maintains cath lab readiness.
