Job summary

Methodist Richardson Medical Center is seeking a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist with invasive cardiovascular procedures in the cath lab under physician direction. The role includes monitoring patient status, operating imaging equipment and supporting the team.

The position requires ARRT/TX RT(R) or RCIS within six months, and current AHA ACLS certification, with a strong emphasis on patient safety and sterile technique in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Requires RCIS (or ARRRT/TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS) within six months of hire.
• Current AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in science or healthcare-related experience considered equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Monitor and assist physician during cath lab procedures as scrub tech and circulator.
• Operate imaging equipment and troubleshoot as directed by physician.
• Transport patients to and from department and maintain sterile technique.
