Methodist Midlothian Medical Center seeks a Cardiovascular Tech RCIS to assist in invasive cardiovascular procedures under physician supervision. Requires degree, ACLS, RCIS within 6 months or ARRT/TX RT(R). Strong support for teaching, prepping labs, and equipment operation in a cath lab.

The role involves scrub and circulator duties, patient transport, sterile technique, and routine equipment troubleshooting in a fast-paced environment.

Formación

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in science or commensurate healthcare experience.
• Current ACLS certification (AHA).
• RCIS certification must be obtained within six months of hire.
• ARRT and TX RT(R) credentials acceptable in lieu of RCIS.

Responsabilidades

• Assist in teaching and orientation of students and new staff.
• Assist physician as monitor tech during cath lab procedures; interpret dysrhythmia and EKGs; operate physiologic recorder.
• Assist physician with most procedures as a scrub tech; operate imaging equipment under physician direction.
• Assist physician as a circulator; monitor patient status during procedures; hand supplies to scrub tech; operate imaging equipment.
• Transport patient to and from department.
• Clean and stock cath lab.
• Demonstrate knowledge of medications and dosages used; maintain sterile technique.
• Demonstrate theoretical knowledge of procedures.
• Order supplies for cath lab; manage inventory.
• Post-procedure: remove arterial/venous sheath; maintain hemostasis; monitor patient status.
• Prepare lab for procedures; maintain sterile technique.
• Prepare patient for procedure; mark arterial pulses.
• Troubleshoot equipment problems.

Educación

Associate or Bachelor’s degree (science emphasis)

AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification

RCIS certification (within six months of hire)

ARRT and TX RT(R) in lieu of RCIS
