Job summary

Adventist Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with cardiovascular imaging expertise to support physicians during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, operating x-ray and related equipment and assisting with catheterization and procedures.

Ideal candidates have ARRT-R certification, CA/HI licenses as applicable, a current CA fluoroscopy license within 6 months, and CPR/BLS credentials. An associate degree or equivalent plus catheterization experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience.
• One year's catheterization experience preferred.
• ARRT-R Radiography certification required.
• Radiologic Tech license in CA and HI required.
• Current Fluoroscopy license required in CA within 6 months of hire.
• CPR or BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assists physicians with procedures.
• Operates all special procedure equipment and can adjust technical factors as needed.
• Acts as a resource for specialized procedures and shares improvements with the team.
• Monitors, records and evaluates patient vital signs during procedures.
• Maintains radiation safety; uses collimation and shielding.
• Ensures aseptic technique and infection control during procedures.
• Operates and maintains cardiac cath equipment and related monitors.
