Responsibilities

• Operates diagnostic imaging equipment to produce radiographs of the heart and cardiovascular system during cardiac catheterization.
• Assists physicians with interventional procedures and special exams.
• Enters technical factors into the imaging system and adjusts equipment per protocol.
• Positions patients and manages table height and x-ray tube as directed by physicians.
• Monitors patient status and communicates changes to the physician.
• Provides patient explanations and discharge instructions.
• Maintains documentation per program standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
