Job summary

Sentara Heart Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist to assist in cardiac and vascular procedures in the Cath Lab. Under physician direction, you will act as a first assistant during catheterization and provide patient care to ensure safety and comfort.

The role requires a health sciences credential with BLS, ACLS within 90 days, and a strong preference for graduates of health sciences programs.

Qualifications

• Diploma/assoc./bachelor health sciences preferred; cardiovascular tech, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing backgrounds acceptable.
• HS Diploma is required.
• BLS; ACLS required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac and vascular procedures under physician direction.
• Act as first assistant during diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization.
• Perform baseline patient assessments and monitor patient response during procedures.
