A Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist (Cath Lab Technologist) plays a vital role in assisting physicians with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. Working collaboratively with patients, physicians, and healthcare team members, this professional utilizes specialized equipment to support the accurate diagnosis and treatment of congenital or acquired heart disease. Responsibilities include performing and reviewing baseline patient assessments, monitoring patient responses during cardiac and vascular procedures, and providing exceptional patient care under physician direction. The Cardiovascular Invasive Technologist acts as a first assistant in both diagnostic and therapeutic catheterization, ensuring maximum patient safety and comfort throughout all procedures.
A graduate of a diploma, associates, or bachelor28s health sciences program (includes, but is not limited to cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing) or a licensed/certified EMT or paramedic
BLS Certification (within 90 days of hire)
ACLS (within 1 year of hire)
Previous cardiac and critical care experience
