Job summary

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, 3-5 years of diesel repair experience, and proficiency with Cat EMS

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Advanced equipment and diesel repair experience.
• Experience diagnosing, maintaining and repairing Caterpillar mining equipment.
• Proficient with Caterpillar service software: Cat Electronic Technician, SIS Web, DBS and SIMSI.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends, holidays and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Utilize and comply with safety programs and procedures.
• Adhere to lock-out-tag-out requirements.
• Communicate daily with supervisor and Wheeler personnel.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Identify and order replacement parts and components.
• Produce quality repairs meeting schedules and deadlines.
• Understand and meet flat-rate expectations.
• Deliver service reports, core returns and warranty documents.
• Maintain a professional appearance following policy.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
