Job Summary

The Catering Supervisor directs and responds to guest needs, reviews event details with the director, manages staff during events, understands menu content, ensures timely food delivery, and follows safety guidelines. Responsibilities include setup, breakdown, inventory, sales processing, and maintaining service standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with directors before events to review details.
• Supervise staff during check-ins and breakdowns.
• Display and maintain food and beverage properly throughout events.
• Know all menu offerings.
• Build rapport with guests and utilize upselling techniques.
• Assist guests with seating arrangements.
• Complete setup and breakdown within timelines.
• Perform post-event inventory and restocking.
• Create, modify, and close sales checks in POS.
• Understand and complete all event paperwork and reports.
• Maintain appearance and cleanliness of location.
• Follow safety and sanitation practices.
• Adhere to responsible alcohol service policies.

Essential Job Duties:

• Stand for long periods and engage physically with guests.
• React quickly in emergency situations.
• Demonstrate stamina and agility to stay mobile throughout the day.
• Lift/move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Move easily between sitting and standing.
