Overview

Reporting to the Catering & Premium Director (C&P Director), the Catering Supervisor will oversee all aspects of catering services within Nampa Civic Center. This role requires providing exceptional customer service and offering knowledgeable suggestions to clients and guests. The Catering Supervisor will mentor, train, and help employees and volunteers meet quality standards, maintain positive relationships, and facilitate effective communication internally and with clients and vendors. The supervisor will manage event execution, including setup, food & beverage presentation, service, and cleanup, focusing on detail, quality, and staff management.

The role involves supervising, coaching, and mentoring staff, as well as handling employment actions like hiring and discipline. Maintaining excellent attendance and flexibility for event-driven schedules, including evenings and weekends, is essential. The position demands professional presentation, interpersonal skills, technical aptitude, self-direction, and independent decision-making. This is a guest-facing role requiring a positive, service-oriented attitude, crucial for the business's success.

This position pays an hourly rate of $24.00-$27.00.

Responsibilities
  • Represent the facility positively during client interactions and tours.
  • Recruit, onboard, train, and manage catering staff; oversee schedules and attendance; ensure uniforms meet standards.
  • Review documents for accuracy; execute and reset based on BEOs.
  • Coordinate catering requirements and client requests promptly; maintain records of sales activities.
  • Understand client needs and collaborate with the operations team to deliver their vision.
  • Improve operations, reduce turnaround times, and enhance service quality.
  • Communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Coordinate with the C&P Director, culinary staff, and event management to meet guest expectations.
  • Participate in operational and sales meetings.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond to issues proactively.
  • Maintain communication with guests and vendors to ensure expectations are met or exceeded, and follow up on guest experiences.
  • Conduct pre-shift meetings to prepare staff and address concerns.
  • Complete End-of-Day reports and assist with accounts receivable oversight.
  • Collaborate with culinary and warehouse teams to ensure proper inventory levels.
  • Shop, purchase, and deliver items as directed.
  • Assist with inventory counts and other duties as assigned by the C&P Director.
Qualifications
  • 2-3 years of food and beverage management experience.
  • Hospitality degree is a plus.
  • Open availability required.
