Dickinson College is seeking a Catering Supervisor to assist the Catering Manager in executing all banquet functions and delivery services across Dining Services. You will lead a large banquet staff, plan equipment needs and timelines, and ensure high-quality service for events on campus.

You will coordinate with kitchen staff and the event POC, hold pre-event meetings, manage inventory, and uphold food safety standards.

Must be enthusiastic, possess excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, and have the ability to lead and direct a large banquet staff.Plan equipment needs and timelines for a variety of catered events. Make lists and delegate responsibilities to catering staff, or work independently to promptly set up, service, and clean up events in various locations on and off campus. Hold pre-event meetings to ensure clear expectations and instructions are given to all scheduled staff. Determine the ideal time to serve food to ensure the highest quality of service to the customer. Communicate with kitchen staff and thePOC of the event as needed.Initiate and organize clean-up at the close of each function in order to utilize time as efficiently as possible. Separate items by department to ensure that the unloading and return of dishes andequipment to proper areas is swift and timely.Plan for and occasionally lead weekly planning meetings andquarterly all catering staff meetings. Scheduling of casual catering staff via Microsoft Teams.I nventory and maintain catering equipment, linens, and disposables. Schedule and coordinate rental equipment when necessary.Ensure all catering staff adhere to Dickinson Dining Services highest standards of food safety and alcohol safety. Prioritized the guestexperience while also protecting and supporting our dedicated staff.Other DutiesYearly inventory.
