Job summary

Bon Appetit Management Company is seeking a Catering Sous Chef to lead culinary operations for a facility. You will assist in supervision, preparation and cooking of a variety of items, develop daily menu items, and work with the Executive Chef to plan menus and help with ordering.

This role offers the chance to contribute to catering events, roll out culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams, and manage cost controls alongside the Executive Chef.

Qualifications

• AS or equivalent experience required.
• Progressive culinary/kitchen management experience desirable.
• Catering experience a plus.
• High volume, complex foodservice operations experience preferred.
• Institutional and batch cooking experience helpful.
• Knowledge of food and catering trends and cost controls.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and expenditures for the account.
• Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus.
• Produces and executes catering events.
• Rolls out new culinary programs with marketing and culinary teams.
