About the Role

Summary: Assist the Executive Chef in food preparation and cooking, coordinate with kitchen staff, and assume responsibilities in the absence of the Executive Chef.

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare food following recipes and standards, meet deadlines.
• Supervise food service staff, including interviewing, scheduling, training, and performance reviews.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures in storing and handling food.
• Maintain sanitation of equipment and work areas, ensure proper presentation and temperature of food.
• Interact with customers to resolve complaints and relay information to management.
• Understand and explain menu items to staff and customers.
• Manage inventory, monitor supplies, and report shortages.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
